RICHMOND, Ky. – Senior Naddiyah Cross drained a three-pointer with 5.1 to play in regulation and finished with a career-high 19 points as Kent State defeated Eastern Kentucky, 65-57 in overtime, Tuesday night at McBrayer Arena.
The Golden Flashes (6-3) scored the first nine points in the overtime period and closed the game on a 30-12 run over the final 13:34.
Kent State got major boosts from junior Merissa Barber-Smith and redshirt junior Tyra James, who saw extended action with Cross and senior Jordan Korinek on the bench much of the game with foul trouble.
