Flashes Comeback Falls Short Against the Buckeyes

KENT, OHIO- Kent State's comeback fell short against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Wednesday night, falling 8-6 in front of an overcapacity crowd at Schoonover Stadium.

The middle part of the order went 7-14 with four runs scored for the Golden Flashes as Josh Johnson, Mack Timbrook and Justin Kirby all had multi-hit games.

Ohio State jumped out to a 6-0 lead thanks to a four-run second inning. The Flashes got half of them back in the bottom of the fourth. Collin Mathews started the rally with a run-scoring single.
