Kent, Ohio - The Kent State men's basketball team (11-3) won their first MAC game of the 2022-23 season 80-72 against Western Michigan this evening. The Flashes are now 7-0 at home for the first time since the 2013-14 season.
Despite changes in the starting lineup and two starters fouling out, the Flashes were able to sneak by. As soon as the whistle blew both teams played with a lot of energy, but neither team seemed to be able to get the lead they wanted. The Flashes took advantage of free throws shooting perfectly (15-of-15) from the line in the first half.
