The last time Ball State University knocked off the Kent State men’s basketball team, Rob Senderoff was in his third season as an assistant under former head coach Jim Christian, current redshirt senior Jimmy Hall was in 5th grade and current sophomore guard Jaylin Walker was six months shy of his eighth birthday.
That was Jan. 2, 2005.
But Tuesday at the M.A.C. Center, the Flashes’ winning streak over their MAC West foe wasn’t in jeopardy thanks to Hall and Walker.
The scoring duo, who combined for 41 points, propelled Kent State (9-5, 1-0) to a 100-90 victory over Ball State (9-5, 0-1) to begin league play.
