KENT, Ohio – The Kent State University men's basketball team (4-3) won its first true road game of the season, defeating the Norfolk State Spartans (0-7) Wednesday, 79-70.
The Flashes picked up a double-double from center Adonis De La Rosa, who posted team-bests of 19 points and 10 rebounds. He shot just 3-for-7 from the floor, but went 13-for-14 from the foul line, both career highs. He also had three blocks. Jalen Avery and Kevin Zabo each had a team-high four assists along with five boards. Avery scored 18 points on 6-for-9 shooting, while Zabo tallied 15 points and a steal.
