The Kent State field hockey team travels to Virginia to kick off the 2023 season against No. 14 Liberty on Friday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m and VCU on Sunday, Aug. 27 at 1 p.m.
About the Flashes
Led by fifth-year head coach Kyle DeSandes-Moyer, the Golden Flashes return after capturing the 2022 Mid-American Conference regular season championship. Kent State is projected to finish second in the conference after receiving 49 votes in the Preseason Coaches' Poll. To add to the strong offense on the team, the Flashes welcome five new incoming freshmen to the roster.
