KENT, OHIO- It is week eight of our Kent State Football FLASHback series powered by Ganley Chevrolet. This week we take our shortest trip of the season, back to 2009 and a road contest against the Ohio Bobcats.
Kent State was coming off a resound 28-6 win at Eastern Michigan to improve to 3-4 overall on the season and 2-1 in the Mid-American Conference. The game at Athens loomed large, Ohio sat at 5-2 overall and a perfect 3-0 heading into the matchup. The Flashes would have been 3-0 in the MAC also if not for a 19-point BG comeback two weeks prior.
