PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Five doubles in a five-run 4th inning handed Kent State (21-12) a 12-8 victory at Pittsburgh (16-18) on Wednesday night.
The big frame was a comeback inning as the Flashes started hot but had to dig out of a one-run deficit.
The game began with Mason Mamarella getting hit by a pitch on a full count then back-to-back singles by Luke Burch and Dylan Rosa to make it 2-0. Tim DalPorto then kept the momentum going with the third base hit in a row to score another.
