KENT, Ohio – The Kent State University field hockey team (6-9, 3-1 MAC) will return to Murphy-Mellis Field for a Saturday afternoon game against Longwood (11-3, 4-1 MAC) at noon.
The Golden Flashes have two matches remaining, with the regular season finale scheduled for Oct. 28 at home against Ohio. The MAC Tournament will follow, to be played between the top four teams in the league at Murphy-Mellis Field Nov. 3-4.
This Saturday, the Flashes will have a chance to stay in the hunt for a regular season title (with a loss by Miami Friday) or position themselves as the two seed in the tournament.
