The Mid-American conference announced its Players of the Week on Tuesday with Kent State's Alison Harmatz earning the honor for offense and Silvia Figa Malgosa earning the recognition for her defensive efforts.
Harmatz helped keep the Flashes perfect in conference play as she led the Kent State attack this weekend. She scored against Ohio State with minutes remaining to put the Flashes within one of the lead and keep them close. Against the Chippewas on Sunday, the team hosted a cancer awareness game in honor of Harmatz's late father who passed away in July from a brain tumor.
