ST. LOUIS – The Kent State University field hockey team (4-7) ended its long road trip with a victory, defeating the St. Louis Billikens (3-6), 2-0, Sunday.
Kent State ends an 11 match road trip, with the Golden Flashes on the road while a new field turf is installed at Murphy-Mellis Field. Kent State will make its 2017 home debut Friday, Sept. 29 against Miami at 1 p.m.
On Sunday, Kent State scored twice in the second half to secure the shutout. The first goal was scored by Alison Harmatz in the 41st minute.
