MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Kent State University field hockey team (6-9, 3-1 MAC) won its second straight road match Friday, defeating the Central Michigan Chippewas (0-15, 0-4 MAC), 7-0.
The Golden Flashes won on a consistent attack, scoring three goals in the first half and four more in the second. The goal total was the highest this season and the most since last season's 7-0 defeat of Missouri State.
Helen Harper and Jessica Apelt each scored twice in the match, and their first goals opened up the scoring in the first half.
