Field Hockey Honored with NFHCA Academic Awards

GENEVA, N.Y. – Kent State was well-represented as the National Field Hockey Coaches Association recently announced its academic awards for the 2022 season.

The Golden Flashes earned the Academic Team Award, which recognizes programs with a team GPA of 3.5 or higher. The team has been awarded with this honor every year since it was created in 2003.

Kent State placed 15 student-athletes on the D1 National Academic Squad, which celebrates players who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 higher through the first semester of the current academic year. These players were Larissa Balachick, Elise Bearance, Bella Carpenter, Lauren Conroy, Agustina Florio, Caitlin Holland, Naomi Kagna, Madison Leety, Maia Sarrabayrouse, Emma Rolston, Emma Seger, Patricia Strunk, Cecile van Eijck, Sydney Washburn, and Katie Wuerstle.
