Field Hockey Drops High Scoring Affair Against No. 4 Penn State

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State University field hockey team (4-9-0) traded heavy blows with one of the nation's best teams, but fell late to No. 4 Penn State (10-2-0) at home, 5-3.

The Golden Flashes took the initial lead in the match, putting the top-5 ranked Nittany Lions on alert early. The first goal came from Alison Harmatz in the second minute. On the team's first attack, Harmatz drove the ball directly towards the goal. After taking advantage of an open path, Harmatz moved around the goalkeeper to score her third goal of the season.
