KENT, OHIO- Jake Ferri was selected as the pre-season Mid-American Conference favorite at 125 pounds in the Conference's annual pre-season poll.
Ferri is the Golden Flashes' top-ranked wrestler in the pre-season poll and for good reason. Ferri is coming off a 14-4 season that saw him place third at the Mid-American Conference championships and earned a major decision victory at the NCAA Championships.
The Billerica, Massachusetts native is one of three returning wrestlers for the Golden Flashes that punched their ticket to the 2021 NCAA Championships. Kody Komara went 3-2 at the Mid-American Conference championships and earned a spot in the NCAA Championships, he is ranked sixth at 149 heading into this season.
