Faix Named a Senior CLASS Award Candidate

The 2016 Senior CLASS Award candidates were announced by the organization on Monday with Kent State's Tim Faix being named one of thirty baseball student-athletes in the nation to be selected for consideration.

An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying School®, the award recognizes student-athletes who best exemplify excellence in the community, classroom, character and competition.

Faix has exhibited all facets of the award in his time at Kent State. In the community he has spent numerous hours volunteering, including visiting Akron Children's Hospital, working on the annual Peace Basket project at the King Kennedy Center in Ravenna and participating in Moving with the Flashes at a local elementary school.
