KENT, Ohio – The Kent State volleyball team opened the home schedule with an epic 3-2 (22-25, 25-17, 25-19, 26-28, 15-11) come-from-behind victory over Valparaiso in Friday's Golden Flashes Classic nightcap inside of the M.A.C. Center. Trailing 11-7 in the final set, the Golden Flashes ran off eight straight points to win in dramatic fashion.
Freshman Morgan Copley, who finished with a career-best 17 kills, delivered in the clutch and contributed on five of Kent State's final six points of the match. sophomore Danie Tyson also had 17 kills and posted her second .
