CLEVELAND – Following her second individual victory of the season at the Lady Buckeye Invitational, Kent State senior Emily Price has been named the Female Scholar Athlete of the Week and Women's Golfer of the Week, the Mid-American Conference office announced.
Price was the only golfer to finish the tournament under par, carding a 1-under, 216 to win by six strokes. She was also the only golfer in the field of 61 to shoot under 70 with a 68 during Sunday's final round, were lowest score this spring.
The Golden Flashes will seek their 23rd consecutive MAC title at the conference championship this weekend.
