CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Kent State men's and women's cross country teams placed eight individuals on the 2019 Academic All-Mid-American Conference Teams, the conference announced Thursday.
A total of 39 student-athletes were named to the men's team, while 84 student-athletes were named to the women's team. Kent State's Samantha Hyme was one of just 12 women to turn in a perfect 4.0 GPA. Hyme earned her second straight Academic All-MAC selection.
In addition to Hyme, four additional women earned Academic All-MAC honors. Senior Jaimie Adams was recognized for the third time, while junior Nicole Fleming was named for the second time.
