Duo of Flashes Named WGCA All-American Scholar

KENT, Ohio- Two Kent State women's golfers were named to the 2017-18 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-America Scholar Team, it was announced by the organization on July 3. Freshman Kory Nielsen and sophomore Karoline Stormo both earned the honor. It marks the second consecutive year Stormo has been named to the WGCA All-America Scholar Team.

The criteria for the selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50. A total of 1,011 women's collegiate golfers were recognized this year with this prestigious honor.
