The 2016 Mid-American Conference awards were announced during a ceremony at All-Pro Freight Stadium Tuesday night with Kent State Head Coach Jeff Duncan being named Coach of the Year and ace Eric Lauer named Pitcher of the Year.
Lauer was joined by Eli Kraus, Luke Burch and Zarley Zalewski on the All-MAC First Team. Earning All-MAC Second Team recognition was Andy Ravel, Zach Willeman, Dylan Rosa and Conner Simonetti. Mason Mamarella was named to the All-Defensive Team.
Duncan, currently in his third season guiding the Golden Flashes, won his 100th career game this year en route to a 41-12 regular season record.
