Dominant Second Half Leads Flashes to Victory Over Western Michigan

KENT, Ohio- The Kent State men's basketball team (4-3, 1-2 MAC) snapped its two-game losing streak as the Flashes captured their first Mid-American Conference victory after stunning Western Michigan, 80-54. The story of the game was Kent State outscoring the Broncos 53-27 in the second half, with their offense coming alive and stifling Western Michigan.

Kent State was led by senior Michael Nuga who scored a career-high 26 points. Nuga also grabbed five rebounds and had two steals. Sophomore Giovanni Santiago added 13 points and connected on 3-of-5 from beyond the arc, while senior Justn Hamilton rounded out the double-digit scoring with 10 points and nine rebounds.
