Miami 18, Kent State 14
Gus Ragland connected with Kenny Young for a 55-yard touchdown pass and Deondre Daniels got a key interception four plays later to lift Miami University to its first win of the season with an 18-14 victory over Kent State on Saturday.
Trailing most of the game, the RedHawks (1-6, 1-2 Mid-American) took their first lead when Young hauled in Ragland’s pass around midfield, then eluded two tackles while sprinting down the right sideline for the winning score with 1:34 left. Daniels sealed the win 14 seconds later with an interception to end Kent State’s final drive.
