CJ Conrad Elevated to Special Teams Coordinator and Tight Ends Coach

KENT, Ohio – Interim head coach Mark Carney has elevated CJ Conrad as the Flashes' new special teams coordinator and tight ends coach after spending the 2024 season as the tight ends coach.

In 2024, the tight ends group averaged 12.4 receiving yards per catch.

Conrad came to Kent State after one season at Eastern Kentucky, where he coached tight ends. He was part of a staff that was eighth in total offense in the FCS and coached a first-team all-conference tight end.

A graduate of and an All-SEC tight end at the University of Kentucky, Conrad got his coaching start with the Wildcats as a graduate assistant.
