Central Michigan 105, Kent State 98 (OT): Marcus Keene carries Chippewas to overtime win over Flashes

KENT: Kent State’s men’s basketball team knew Marcus Keene was going to get his Saturday at the M.A.C. Center.

The Golden Flashes weren’t expecting a good chunk of it to come in overtime.

Kent State scratched and clawed its way to overtime in the Mid-American Conference game against Central Michigan and then watched the nation’s leading scorer take over in a 105-98 loss on Saturday.

One game removed from a 50-point output against Miami, Keene dropped 41 on the Golden Flashes (11-10, 3-5 MAC).

“I just felt that we let it slip away in the last minute and a half [of regulation],” Keene, a Youngstown State transfer, said.
