CLEVELAND, Ohio – Freshman Jade Brown has been named Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
In her return to the lineup Friday at Eastern Michigan, Brown helped the Golden Flashes' floor rotation return to form with a career-best 9.925 in front a contingent of family that made the short trip from nearby Lansing. Her score was good enough to share the event title with teammate and reigning MAC Gymnast of the Year Rachel Stypinski.
Brown won the JO Level 10 floor national title last spring and has competed on floor in four meets this season in addition to vault twice.
