AKRON, Ohio- Kent State's men's and women's track and field programs both fell to the Zips Friday night at Stile Athletics Field House in the annual Akron-Kent State Dual. The women's team dropped their dual by a score of 82-69, while the men dropped their dual 86-64.
David Paliscak captured first place in the men's shot put with a personal-record mark of 17.78m (58' 4"), which moves him passed Aaron Crabtree (2011) for ninth all-time in the Kent State record book. Paliscak also competed in the weight throw, taking second with a heave of 17.
