Bats and Arms Shine in Senior Day Sweep over Akron

KENT, Ohio – On Senior Day at the Diamond at Dix, the Kent State softball team (28-20, 14-8 MAC) swept a doubleheader over the Akron Zips (3-43-1, 2-21 MAC), 4-0, and, 10-0, on Saturday afternoon. Pitcher Madi Huck pitched tremendously in the first game and lost her no-hit bit with two outs in the seventh innings. The Golden Flashes recognized their season class of Kylee Southers and Holly Speers, and they will end their careers as the winningest class in school history (139 wins) with at least three games left in the season.
