As the fall semester was winding down and students were preparing for finals, Kent State baseball spent time in the local community giving back so others could have a happier holiday.
Members of the team kept up the annual tradition of volunteering at the King Kennedy Community Center in Ravenna for the organization's peace basket program. The center receives donations of various items and volunteers help assemble holiday baskets to be given out to less fortunate members of the community. More than 125 baskets are distributed every year, and the team has now participated in the program for five years.
