Barnes Qualifies for Olympics; Breaks Own School Record as T&F Concludes Drake and Gina Relays

Kent State's track and field teams concluded competition at the Drake and Gina Relays on Saturday, April 30, as senior William Barnes qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics in the 110 meter hurdles.

Barnes ran a blazing 13.41, breaking his own school record of 13.56 and qualifying for the Olympics this summer. Currently, Barnes' time ranks second in the nation. Barnes teamed up Jonathan Grant, Brian Smith and Wayne Gordon in the 4x100m relay to take second place with a time of 40.
