KENT, Ohio – Seniors Merissa Barber-Smith and Alexa Golden delivered big games on Senior Day as Kent State defeated Buffalo, 62-53, Saturday afternoon inside of the M.A.C. Center.
The Golden Flashes (18-11, 11-7 MAC) scored on the opening possession to lead wire-to-wire and earn the No. 5 in the upcoming Mid-American Conference Tournament with the victory.
Although they combined for only five points, the duo made a huge impact on the game's outcome. Barber-Smith grabbed five rebounds and swatted two shots during her 11 minutes on the court.
