CLEVELAND – Kent State redshirt sophomore Gabby Bailey has been named Mid-American Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Bailey launched the top discus and shot put marks in the MAC during this past week's competition. She moved to second in Golden Flashes history with a huge personal-best of 191'-6" on her first discus throw attempt on Tuesday at the Akron Field Events Qualifier, which gives her a No. 7 national ranking. Bailey won the shot put Saturday at the Mountaineer Twilight with a season-best heave of 53'-9".
