Ba Runs Well in NCAA Cross Country Championships Debut

STILLWATER, Okla. — Sophomore Baidy Ba placed 126th at the 2022 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships on Saturday (Nov. 19) at The Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course.

Ba's finish is the best by a Kent State runner since Jim Loveless placed 19 in 1991. He crossed the finish line in 30:26.1, the second fastest 10k time in Golden Flashes cross country history only behind his record-setting performance at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships on Nov. 11.

At the 3k mark, Ba was in 160th and gradually moved into 136th with a little more than 1k left in the race.
