KENT, Ohio – For the second game in a row, the Kent State women's soccer team won in dramatic fashion, scoring in the final seconds to secure a 2-1 win over Eastern Michigan on Thursday night at Zoeller Field at Dix Stadium.
The Golden Flashes (6-2-2, 3-0 MAC) are off to their best start to Mid-American Conference play since 2017, while the Eagles (1-5-5, 1-1-1 MAC) drop their first game of the conference season after last week's unbeaten weekend.
Josie Morgan opened up the scoring for the Flashes in the 15th minute. Alisa Arthur sent a cross into the box that Morgan collected with her right foot and directed it to the right of the Eastern keeper.
