Wildcats slow Roadrunners to a crawl and earn 30-3 victory at Alamodome

SAN ANTONIO — Joe Hubener started for the first time and running back Justin Silmon scored his first-career touchdown, but it was a play from linebacker Will Davis that was the story of the game.

With Kansas State leading by four late in the second quarter, UTSA had driven all the way to the Wildcats’ 3-yard line. Using 12 plays to cover 56 yards, the Roadrunners faced a key fourth-and-goal for a chance to the tie the game just before halftime.

UTSA quarterback Blake Bogenschutz fired a pass to the middle intended for his tight end, but Davis got his hands up and batted the ball down to end the threat.
