It started with a 3-pointer from Wesley Iwundu. Two, actually.
Then Kamau Stokes joined the act and canned two of his own triples.
Carlbe Ervin and Xavier Sneed then nailed 3s of their own, and when Sneed hit another, K-State was up 26-15 on Hampton Sunday night in Manhattan.
The Wildcats cooled off and sunk just three triples in the second half, compared to the first half’s nine, but the quick 3-pointer blitz K-State put on Hampton provided the separation the Wildcats needed for an 89-67 win in the opening night of the Barclays Center Classic.
