Why juco forward Austin Trice was K-State coach Bruce Weber's top recruiting priority | The Wichita Eagle

For Kansas State basketball coach Bruce Weber, there is no overstating the value junior-college forward Austin Trice may bring to the Wildcats next year.

“Obviously, our biggest need this season was rebounding and our focus this recruiting period has been finding an elite rebounder who fits in the framework of our team," Weber said. "We feel like we have found that player in Austin, who was one of best rebounders in all of the junior-college ranks.”

Trice, a 6-foot-7, 230-pound sophomore, averaged 12.6 points and 12.1 rebounds while playing last season for Wabash Valley College in Mount Carmel, Ill.
