What happens when big time college football takes note of players at small town high schools? Well, Hutchinson coach Ryan Cornelsen had to learn on the job (Brad Heiler, Hutchinson News). At LaCrosse, Cornelsen was caught by surprise when big name schools including Oklahoma and Kansas State showed interest in his fullback Marshall Musil. He ultimately committed to the Sooners, and that experience helped Cornelsen in his next stop at Hays, where he helped current Kansas State quarterback Alex Delton with recruiting.
