We didn’t have a Slate yesterday because there was literally nothing to report. Today? Well, today is Pi Approximation Day, or 22/7 in certain backward nomenclatures. It’s also the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Atlanta, and it’s Alex Trebek’s 79th birthday.
(True story: earlier this morning on World News Now, they ran a brief happy birthday story for Trebek and then went to commercial... and it was a Colonial Penn ad. Yikes.)
Pretty exciting stuff, yeah? But since we can’t let you reprobates go two whole days without a Slate, we had to run with something this morning.
