SLATE: Football Staff Lands Another Commitment

It’s another news-starved summer day in WildcatLand. Lucky for us, BracketCat soldiers on with the countdown to opening day, as he highlights Noah Johnson, a preferred walk-on offensive lineman from Wichita’s Bishop-Carroll High School via Butler County Community College.

Coach Klieman and his staff continue adding talent to the 2020 recruiting class, this time with a verbal commitment from wide receiver Jaelon Travis, a 6-foot, 187-pound prospect from Mansfield, Texas. Travis is not ranked by 247 Sports or Rivals, but caught the eye of K-State coaches during one of their camps.

The athletic department updated the summer progress of current and former baseball team members, highlighted by 2011 draftee Evan Marshall, who has made 19 relief appearances for the Chicago White Sox, compiling a 3-1 record with a 1.
