Slate: Barry Brown Leads K-State Past Denver

K-State won both ends of a double-header in Bramlage Coliseum last night, but neither game was without drama.

The No. 12/11 Wildcats struggled from the floor and the free throw stripe again Monday night, allowing the Denver Pioneers to keep the game within two possessions until the last 23 seconds of game time. Barry Brown scored 25 of K-State’s 64 points, while Xavier Sneed contributed 12 in his first regular season game, and Dean Wade posted a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds.

Team defense has been solid thus far, forcing turnovers and holding the first two opponents to 41 and 56 points, respectively.
