Skylar Thompson Out For Season

Kansas State Wildcats head coach Chris Klieman announced on Monday that senior quarterback Skylar Thompson will be out for the remainder of the 2020 season after sustaining an upper-body injury during the first half of the Wildcats’ win over Texas Tech two Saturdays ago.

Thompson underwent surgery last week which precluded him from traveling to Fort Worth last weekend leading to true freshman Will Howard getting the start for the now 22nd ranked Wildcats’ 24-17 win at TCU.

The news is quite a bummer to K-State fans as it seemed that Thompson was set for a career season after starting the year 40-64 in the air for 626 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions to go along with three rushing touchdowns.
