Ron Freeman transfering from K-State basketball team

MANHATTAN — Kansas State basketball coach Bruce Weber announced Tuesday that freshman guard Ron Freeman will transfer out of the program.

Freeman played sparingly this past season, appearing in 11 games. He will transfer to Northwest Florida State College, the same juco where former Wildcat Stephen Hurt played.

"Ron has made the decision to transfer from Kansas State," Weber said. "We wish him the best as he moves forward in his college career."

K-State is in the running for Neosho County Community College forward Freddie McSwain, who visited the campus last week and will decide between the Wildcats and Indiana after making a visit with the Hoosiers.
