Kansas’ chances of pulling an upset this weekend got a lot smaller Monday when Pooka Williams Jr. announced he was opting out of the rest of this season to be with his mother in Louisiana, who is battling health issues.
Within that context, the game this weekend matters so little. In fact, Pooka’s announcement churned up the little voice that’s been screaming from a small dark corner of my brain since probably late June.
