Former Wamego High standout Lanie Page won’t play for the Kansas State women’s basketball team this season.
A K-State official confirmed on Wednesday that Page will redshirt for the 2015-16 season due to an injury she reportedly sustained during her senior season at Wamego.
The 6-foot-3 freshman, who was named All-Flint Hills League Player of the Year, averaged 16.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game last season for the Red Raiders.
Page initially signed a letter of intent with Nebraska, but was released and signed with K-State after her older sister Kaylee transferred from Nebraska to K-State during her first semester with the Cornhuskers.
