ATHENS, Ga. — The 10th-ranked Kansas State equestrian team faced a tough doubleheader on Friday at the University of Georgia Equestrian Complex, as the Wildcats began the day with a loss to No. 2 Georgia, but rebounded to beat No. 8 Fresno State late in the day.
K-State lost to Georgia, 12-4, but defeated Fresno State, 8-7.
The Wildcats are now 4-5 on the season and 1-3 in the Big 12.
“Today finished really well for our team,” K-State head coach Casie Maxwell said. “This morning against Georgia, we didn’t ride to our potential, but we stepped up this afternoon against Fresno State.
