DALLAS – Kansas State faces a serious shortage of proven playmakers on offense.
Enough that it seems daunting. Even for a coach as experienced as Bill Snyder.
Yet the K-State coach was quick to respond Monday when asked about the Cats’ 2015 rebuild at Big 12 football media days.
“Were you with us in 1989?’’ Snyder asked.
Everyone laughed, including him. Nothing will ever be that dire again as long as he is at Kansas State. Nothing in the history of college football may have ever approached that perilous level of ineptitude.
So yes, Snyder has tackled tougher projects.
