MANHATTAN — The noise will be different this year for Scott Frantz.

Oh, he heard opposing defenders trash-talk a year ago. He heard fans boo him on the road.

Now it’s more personal, though. Kansas State’s sophomore left tackle acknowledged through an ESPN interview this summer that he was gay.
