Kevin Haskin: Improvement from quarterbacks a must for K-State

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Little was settled Saturday as the Kansas State football team staged its Purple-White game on the pitch at Sporting Park.

Anyone who came looking for the Wildcats’ next starting quarterback left with mixed opinions that only leave the competition wide open.

In some ways, the exhibition was predictable. Much work remains. At all positions. In all phases.

So much emphasis in football, though, starts with the quarterback. And K-State was in no position to name a starter at the conclusion of spring camp.

Granted, no one was going to earn the job through 15 workouts.
