Kevin Haskin: Backfield stable remains intact for Cats, though Warmack strikes

MANHATTAN – Kansas State is not going to reveal a dominant rusher.

Unless the Wildcats are in goal-to-go and fullback Winston Dimel is the choice in the Wildcat formation.

That wrinkle was unveiled Saturday as Dimel scored four touchdowns and K -State gladly converted red-zone gifts into quick scores, blasting Florida Atlantic 63-7 in Snyder Family Stadium.

Otherwise, what workload was provided to tailbacks did not create any separation at that position.

For starters, Florida Atlantic would not allow it. The Owls surrendered early. Helpless turnovers, dumb penalties and misguided executioni left them trailing by four touchdowns at the end of the first quarter.
